The board shapes and bottom designs have changed quite a bit through the years. From needle like, multi channel boards in the eighties to short and wide boards with a more subtle bottom designs that we see today. Even since I wrote the first articles about board/bottom shapes we have got the short and super wide RRD Firemove and Starboard have continued to refine their cut out concept.
