JP Super Sport 2011 – Preview

JP Super Sport from JP Australia was even before the latest updates one of the fastest free race boards on the market. JP has choosen to abondon the channel bottom for a double concave Vee bottom. We are more than curious about how the new race deck and bottom shape has affected the JP SuperSport characteristics.

Jp Super Sport offers slalom performance, but is more forgiving, offers better comfort and is much easier to sail. We can assume that the JP Super Sport 2011 will performe at least as well as the JP Super Sport 2010 did in the windsurfing magazine tests.
Read the JP Super Sport 2010 test:

Jp Super Sport 2011 – Key changes 2011

– The basic dimensions of the JP Super sport have been remained unchanged
– The tail have become slightly wider
– New race deck will give you more comfort and a more relaxed stance
– New bottom shape. A double concave Vee flowing into a flat Vee towards the tail.

JP Super Sport 74 V127 – Test 2009 and 2010

JP Super Sport 2010 JP Super Sport 74 V 127  is together with Starboard Futura 133, one of the fastest boards in the free race segment. RRD Fire Race 120 is faster but requires much more of you as a sailor and is best suited for the advanced rider. The JP Super Sport 74 is a relatively lively board and offers very good planing ability and excellent speed through out the whole wind range. The JP Super Sport is almost as fast as a slalom board, but much easier to sail. Boardtests.com

Surf (Germany) no 5, 2010 – JP Super Sport 74

JP Super Sport 74 is the definition of a free race board. The JP Super Sport 74 feels big and tip-resistant witch is a good quality if you want to be able to use large sails. When it comes to acceleration and speed the JP Super Sport needs to fear no competition.

Tight turns are a weak spot but the JP Super Sport 74 performs really well when it comes to medium and large radius full-speed-turns and offers excellent planing ability through the wind holes. The JP Super Sport 74 offers maximum performance and speed sensation at relatively low driving skills.

JP Super Sport 74 offers 100 percent Free Race and 80 percent Free Ride. Only when using the more outwardly positioned foot straps the JP Super Sport 74 are more demanding than a JP X-Cite Ride.
