Point-7 has launched a sail-concept that is specially designed for ice boards, that is for windsurfing on ice. Point-7 Black Ice is produced on behalf of the ice board manufacturer Hiberna.

Point-7 Black Ice – Specially designed for Ice boards

The Hiberna ice board is a 4 blade variant within the ice board segment and the Point-7 Black Ice is designed to work with little downhaul which gives a closed leech. The Black Ice has a extremely low clew that gives you the possibility to close the gap between your Ice board and your sail without having to tilt the sail too much backwards.

Black Ice – Design and performance

Point-7 is known to make extremely stylish high performance windsurfing sails and when it comes to design the Black Ice is no exception. The Black Ice luff curve and mast sleeve is based on the test winning Point-7 AC-1 racing sail (2011).  It will be very interesting to see how the Point-7 Black Ice will perform against other high performance sails on the racetrack for Ice Boards.
