Fanatic Falcon Slalom 113 – Test 2012

Fanatic Falcon Slalom 113 2012The Fanatic Falcon slalom line have been completely reworked for 2012. The Fanatic Falcon 2012 is defenately one of the fastest windsurfing slalom boards within the segment. The Falcon 2012 has boxier rails in the tail and the straps are more outboard compared to the Fanatic Falcon 111 2011. The Falcon has a little more vee in the tail for control aswell as some tail rocker (2011 was flat). The track recess is deeper and extends to the nose reducing volume and increasing stiffness.

Windsurf (UK) March 2012 – Fanatic Falcon Slalom 113

The Fanatic Falcon has been tuned with harder rails and a straighter tail shape, as well as a new rocker line. On the deck, it has a deeper concave to lower the rig further into the board and the footstrap area has been slightly raised to improve the riding position.

The Fanatic Falcon accelerates very quickly, feeling lively and eager, while at the same time lifting smoothly onto the plane. The Falcon is an easy board to get dialled into with almost freeride style ride and handling, which really gives you the confidence to push yourself to the absolute limit.

Fanatic Falcon 2011 – Great Speed and Gybing

Fanatic have made several changes to obtain better planing ability, still the Falcon is not a planing machine. The Fanatic Falcon stands out with exelent speed, control and great gybing ability. The small sizes focuses on speed while the large sizes focus on light wind performance. No fin is provided. Select has a special fin selector for Fanatic Falcon.

Windsurf (UK) March 2011 – Fanatic Falcon 111 test

The Fanatic Falcon 111 is very quick to accelerate and the increased volume in the tail enables you to get back into the straps early. The Falcon feels like a freeride board in terms of comfort and ease of use, delivering a lot of plug & play potential for such a hardcore race board…

…but it’s in the cornering and the acceleration coming out of the tums that the Fanatic Falcon will pull you ahead of the pack.

Windsurfing (US) June 2011 – Fanatic Falcon 111 test

Instant acceleration once on the plane. Big speed without big scares. Favored top-speed over instant planing. Best siutes light to moderate weight slalom blasters.

Fanatic Falcon – To hard Core?

If you are looking for a more durable and forgiving board, have look at Fanatics Freerace board Fanatic Ray 2011 or the more Freeride oriented Fanatic Hawk 2011.
